Hey look, a Paypal button.

Oh, hi

It’s been a while since I’ve had a bit of a ramble about the contents of my head, so here we go.

I’m still smoking. As I’ve said before, the principles of Easyway are sound, I can see that, but putting them into practise still gives me the fear.

Reach is still awesome. I’ve made ten maps now! I think I will have to do a showcase detailing the thought processes behind them, and put them up here with some screenshots. My new Xbox is lovely, it’s so quiet, and the hard-drive is very quick. I’m very happy with it.

Work is going ok. The “Lead Colleague” of Music and Video is leaving in a few month, so I’m hoping to learn as much as I can from him before he goes, he’s very knowledgeable in Asda procedure. Annoyingly, our department is having a major move around on the weekend I was planning to pr*pose to a certain someone. It’s ok, it’s written in code, and Jane never reads my blog anyway.

The family situation is, as ever, testing. The more observant of you may notice I’ve removed a lot of the posts I had made about it, as I felt I had almost become as bad as them when it comes to talking behind other people’s backs. I wish they’d just talk to me when they have things to say to me, as I have told them on numerous occasions. It still happens though.

Bargain

I have just bought an Xbox 360 250GB off Amazon. The ones at Tesco have gone back up to £200, and the ones on Amazon have gone down further to £150 – that’s even better than buying it at Asda with colleague discount. And, to further sweeten the deal, as Amazon is one of our affiliates, I get a small slice of the money back! I look forward to installing games.

I’m going to give my old 360 to David – it’s about time he went Next-Gen.

Rediscovery

I’ve rediscovered loads of great alums thanks to putting them all on my shiny new mp3 player. Mezzanine by Massive Attack, Orblivion by The Orb, Exit Planet Dust by The Chemical Brothers, Psyence Fiction by Unkle… Sound evokes so many feelings, listening to these tracks, it’s almost like I’m being transported back in time and re-living random moments of my life.

Somethingfest was a success

Our yearly pilgrimage to Coventry was a success yet again – it was great to see everyone and catch up and stuff. A massive thank you must be extended to Hannah and Karl for once again hosting such an eclectic mass of bodies in their home, it’s really appreciated.

A personal highlight was singing Everybody Wants To Rule The World, and getting 98%. All that Lips training has paid off! It was pretty funny when Jane was singing Total Eclipse Of The Heart and literally everybody else in the house was providing the “Turn around” backing vocals. Poor girl couldn’t concentrate properly because of it.

I’m pretty tired you know, I think it was all that lazing around drinking vodka. Tiring work, that.
