Jane, Lewis and Ethan
My name is Iain Stewart, known widely on the internet as “toxic”, co-founder of Random Fury! (The Halo and General Online Gaming Clan ranked 37th in the UK) and this is my blog, Waves.
When I first wrote this introduction I wasn’t really too sure how deep to go as I wrote it before there were any entries in the blog. I figured that all would be revealed in time, but looking back now, there are a few things that needed clarification, such as our living arrangements, and who all these people I write about are.
I love Jane, she’s great. We’ve been together for over ten years now and we recently moved into a big house in Waterlooville. We (well, I say “we”, it’s more “Jane”) own a third of it, along with Jane’s Mum and Dad (affectionately known as Nanna and Pops for the kid’s sake) who own another third, and Claire (Jane’s sister) and her husband Matt own the last third. Claire and Matt’s children (Lewis (7) and Ethan (2)) also live here. Paul, Jane’s brother, does not live with us. Back in Southampton we have my Mum, and David (my brother) and Katie, the proud parents of my adorable little niece, Jasmine.
Why am I doing this? Well, I feel I’m at a crossroads in my life, emerging from one dark path and looking out towards the sunset. My therapist did say that keeping a diary or journal would help, so I hope that by keeping this blog it will help me understand myself, and help others who may be going through a dark period. I used to write a blog over at Poopgang (R.I.P.) which I enjoyed a lot, and I have brought over all those old entries and retrofitted them into this WordPress installation. Overall, I’d say the best way to find out about me would be to read some posts I’ve made on here. Go do that.
I’ve a pretty regular routine for posting stuff on here. Every Tuesday is the LOLcat of the week, where I pop over to icanhascheezburger and choose my favourite of the last seven days. I used to post a fair bit about Phantasy Star Universe, but as my interest in the game has waned, so have the posts about it. I absolutely love Halo the games, I really enjoyed Halo 3: ODST and am looking forward to Halo: Reach with much interest.
