Some history for you
Back in the summer of 2004, when Rainbow Six 3 was all the rage, I decided to make a clan for me and my real life chums, some of whom had Xbox Live, some of whom didn’t, but were getting it. Trying to decide upon a name was the hardest bit, I wanted something Japanese sounding, a bit kooky, a bit badly translated, something like Team Golden Fury, Hyper Random Squad or Super Mega Kill, but the clan names in RS3 could only be quite short, so in the end I settled on Random Fury! Yes, that includes the exclamation mark.
As time went on, more and more people expressed an interest in the upcoming Halo 2, and as an effort to build a community of like-minded gamers, I opened up my real life friends clan to my internet friends on the (now defunct) Gamesradar forums, a move which to this day, is one of the most significant events in the short history of RF. Once the game came out, the clan was formed, and we have been hovering around the 30 core members mark ever since. We’ve even beaten a couple of Xbox magazines at Halo 2.
It’s not all been plain sailing though. Our old webhosts were rubbish and corrupted two previous versions of the Zone. The release of the Xbox 360 threatened to splinter the core of the clan, but games like Street Fighter IV, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4 and Phantasy Star Universe sorted that out.
We’ve had five very successful meets, the first in London, the next three in Coventry, where Karl and Hannah graciously gave up their personal space and the “Full Force Of The Fury” (© Orca, 2004) descended, and then another in London.

And that brings us to today.
About the website:
Zone is our discussion forum, inhabited by the RF community. The heart of Random Fury. Primarily a videogaming forum, it also presents a unique opportunity to get to know fellow users a bit better, and is a chilled out, relaxed environment where you can chat about pretty much anything.
Waves is my blog, written by me and sometimes contributed to by the rest of Random Fury.
It covers an array of topics from videogames to trips to the Zoo, from personal diary style entries to our take on current affairs. It’s mostly just me waffling on about random trivial stuff though. Oh, and lot’s of LOLcats.
